D8 Night, Inc. ("D8", "we", "us", or "our") operates the D8 mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our app.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, and gender.
Profile Information: Photos you upload, voice intros you record, bio text, and your dating preferences (vibe selections, area preferences).
Location Data: With your consent, we collect your approximate location to show you nearby matches and suggest venues in your area. You can disable location services at any time in your device settings.
Messages: We store messages you send and receive through the app to deliver them to your matches and for content moderation purposes.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including swipe activity, features used, and session duration.
Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and crash data.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- To match you with other users based on your vibe and area preferences
- To deliver messages between matched users
- To suggest venues based on shared vibes and location
- To enforce our community guidelines and moderate content

HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in these limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your profile information (name, photos, bio, voice intro) is visible to potential matches. Messages are shared with your matched users.
- Service providers: We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and push notifications. These providers only access data necessary to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Safety and legal: We may disclose information if required by law, to protect user safety, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information (e.g., for fraud prevention or legal compliance).
Messages in active conversations are deleted when either participant deletes their account. Expired match data (from the 24-hour window) is automatically purged.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
- Access and correction: You can view and update your profile information at any time within the app.
- Delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings within the app, or by visiting d8tenight.com/delete-account.
- Withdraw consent: You can revoke location permissions, notification permissions, or any other consent at any time through your device settings.
- Data export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at privacy@d8tenight.com.
AGE REQUIREMENT
D8 is only available to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete that information immediately.
SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The app may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., suggested venues). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of D8 after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
